Our journey
Calicut Trading Company, situated in Perinthalmanna, has a long history in the industry. Calicut Trading Company was founded in January 2000 and is well-known among its customers and small business owners for its unmatched quality and tradition in the business world. Now in its twenties, the company has many stories to share about endurance and dedication. The company is actively involved in keeping up with the times, opening up new possibilities for information technology and thus finding solutions to many of the problems that small businesses, particularly grocers, are facing and will face in the current financial crisis.
Since 1985, Mr Hamsakutty C, Managing Director of Calicut Trading Company, has worked in the rice and grocery industries. In 1987, Mannarkkad MTC merged with his brothers to start a new business in the field. He and his friend Kabir founded the Calicut Trading Company, wholesale rice and grocery distributor, in 2000. For more than two decades, the Calicut Trading Company has been able to carry rice and groceries directly from farmers and mills to the market, bypassing intermediaries. And now In January 2022, Hykco Stores opened its doors in Perinthalmanna with its own branded range of high-quality products and marketing on around 20 km radius from Perinthalmanna Housing Colony Road. The quality of the products and hygiene packs in appealing brands will undoubtedly win hearts and minds.
